Take Action

Nearly 1,500 of us signed a petition asking our federal delegation to stand strong for our values and communities (if you haven’t already added your name, please do so here).

Join us on Monday December 5th at noon to deliver those petition signatures to Senator Reed and Senator Whitehouse in person, so they know how much their constituents are counting on them. We have already reached out to request a meeting, and have not yet heard back – but it will be hard to ignore us when we’re there in their office. Will you join us?

We’ll be gathering this Monday, December 5th at noon at Senator Reed’s Providence office, 1 Exchange Terrace (the District Court right on Kennedy Plaza). We’ll then walk two blocks over to Sen. Whitehouse’s office. The more of us, the stronger our message.

Call and email your Senators and Congresspeople with the same message:

We are now the opposition and as such we need to fight to defend the parts of our country we love–civil liberties, diversity, economic opportunity and the social safety net. (Add your own examples here)

Rhode Island’s leaders at the federal level should be leaders in the resistance to Trump’s effort to remake America as a less tolerant, less equal, more unstable place.

Be fierce in your opposition to parts of the Trump agenda–and we will have your back.

Use every tactic available to you.

We are counting on your bold leadership and we look forward to backing you up.

And we urge you to schedule a meeting with the Resist Hate RI community to discuss further.
